Testimonial

"April,

I must say you are a tremendous instructor. I don't think there was a pet owner at your training that couldn't believe their eyes. Your
results are incredible. It was unreal how these unruly dogs were completely transformed in minutes. It was just amazing. More importantly, it was great to learn how to properly train an animal.

My daughter Riley kind of gave you a backhanded compliment. Halfway through the training, she leaned over to me and said, "Dad, this is not as boring as I thought it would be." She really enjoyed herself and was very proud of Mickey's performance. And she may be interested in
becoming a dog trainer.

I have to tell you I walk Mickey down our long driveway most mornings before I go to work. He gets a little exercise before we all leave for the day. After your training, he stays right at my side without a leash.

It was fun the other day because as we returned from our walk, he jumped into the field and started chewing on some grass. I kept going and when I got to the top of the hill, I squatted down and called his name. He came flying out of the field, spotted me, and as I instructed him to come, he came full bore right up the driveway and into my hands. It was great to see. He responds beautifully now.

Riley still practices the "come" command inside the house, and now she has Mickey trained to sit and stay on his own without a leash and then respond to her command when she is ready.

We still need to work on a few things inside with a check cord, but Mickey has improved dramatically. We are very happy for him and we thank you for your profound instructions. My wife wanted to make sure Mickey
was boarding with you when we go to Florida later this month. And now Kelly wants to take our son Jaxson to the next training after hearing of our experience last weekend.

Thanks again,
Pat"

"Learn To Think Like A Dog"
       One Day Dog Training Class

See schedule (events) for upcoming dates.

Description: This one day class will help you to understand and overcome
some of the most common challenges people encounter living with a dog.
Learning how dogs think and what makes sense to them is the key to
attaining harmony, as well as mutual respect and trust. Dogs are highly
intelligent, however they do not think and process information the way
we do. You may unwittingly be contributing to the behavior problems that
are annoying you. It will amaze you how quickly dogs willingly comply
once you know how to think the way they do.

In this class you will learn to resolve the following:

  • Controlling the dog on leash and walking on lead without pulling
regardless of what is going on around them.
  • Coming when called especially with distractions.
  • Jumping up on people

If time allows other common areas of discord will be addressed.

Additional benefits to this class format is that you receive all the
information you need in _one day_ to resolve these common behavior
problems. The _consistency_ of a day long session allows you time to
integrate and apply the methods you learn. You also _save time and
money_ by not having to make weekly trips stretched out over two months
of gas expense and travel time
.

Please note that group training classes are not for dogs with known
aggression problems with other dogs or people. Dogs with aggression
issues must have prior private counseling with April Frost prior to a
group class to assure the safety of all class participants and to
alleviate stress for the dog.

Enrollment: $125

Please note that the enrollment fee is per dog not
per person. April encourages as many members of the family (children
over the age of 10) to participate as would like to. Master and Visa
Cards accepted.
